The CLEARTEST Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase IgA Rapid Test enables the qualitative detection of tissue transglutaminase IgA antibodies (tTG-IgA) in capillary blood from the fingertip. This test is an important tool in the diagnosis of celiac disease, a chronic intestinal disorder caused by gluten intolerance. Patients with celiac disease suffer from damage to the intestinal mucosa, which is reversible with a gluten-free diet. The test is intended exclusively for use by medically trained personnel and detects IgA antibodies at concentrations ranging from > 5 mlU/l up to 500 mlU/ml. A negative test result can reliably rule out the presence of celiac disease, while IgA deficiency should be ruled out to ensure accurate results.
