Description

Cutimed Sorbact combats wound infections purely through physical means: Bacteria and fungi naturally bind to the DACC-coated surface and are irreversibly trapped. With each dressing change, a portion of the microorganisms is removed from the wound. Because nothing is killed, no additional endotoxins are released that could delay healing.

This version is a tamponade measuring 2 × 50 cm—the narrow, long shape designed for deep wounds, wound cavities, and fistula tracts that need to be filled. The material consists of acetate or cotton fabric fibers with a bacteria-binding coating. For tamponades, this product is specifically indicated for use in cases of fungal skin infections as well.
