Description

Cutimed Sorbact combats infections purely through physical means. Bacteria such as MRSA and VRE, as well as fungi, naturally bind to and become anchored on the DACC-coated surface, where they are irreversibly trapped and their growth is inhibited. With each dressing change, the bacterial count in the wound is thus reduced.

Because no microorganisms are killed, no additional endotoxins are produced that could delay healing. As a result, there are no time restrictions on use and no known contraindications. This version consists of a compress made of acetate or cotton fibers, packaged sterile.
