Sterile gauze swabs with an X-ray contrast chip—ranging in size from walnut-sized to fist-sized—for count verification in the operating room.

Description

This version of the Leukoplast gauze swabs features an X-ray contrast chip. This makes the swab detectable on X-ray images—in the operating room, this is part of the count check and thus serves as a safety feature.

The swabs are made of oxygen-bleached cotton in accordance with DIN EN 14079; they are 20-ply and knotted; the residual cutting lint has been removed to prevent loose fibers from entering the wound. Available in five sizes, ranging from walnut-sized to fist-sized.
