Leukosilk is a white adhesive bandage for patients whose skin is sensitive to adhesives. The backing is made of acetate and coated with a polyacrylate adhesive—a combination that adheres securely and can be removed without leaving residue. Because the material is radiolucent, the bandage does not need to be removed before an X-ray.

Its practical advantage is evident in its ease of use: Leukosilk can be torn by hand even lengthwise, so the desired length can be cut without scissors.
