SONAX PROFILINE Cut+Finish

A grinding polish with finishing properties for rotary polishers; can be used as a one-step polish depending on the paint color.

Description

After a repair paint job, dust inclusions, paint mist, and sanding marks remain. Cut+Finish removes them in a single pass: high removal rate combined with a high gloss level, rated at sanding performance level 5 and gloss level 5 on the manufacturer’s scale. Sanding marks from P1500 sandpaper are removed, and sanded areas can be polished to a clean finish.

The paste has a long open time and wipes off exceptionally well—two properties that are critical for cycle times in paint shops. It is silicone-free and low-dust, making it particularly suitable for polishing painted plastic parts.

If necessary, sand the paint with P1500 or finer grit. Use a speed-adjustable rotary polisher with a hard or medium foam pad; initially apply the machine at a slight angle, then press it flat against the surface, and make several short passes—especially on fresh paint. Remove residue with a soft microfiber cloth; depending on the color, you can then polish to a high gloss with PerfectFinish.
