Tricodur Gilchrist Plus immobilizes the shoulder and upper arm in an adducted position and differs from the closed version in one key aspect: The open design allows for unobstructed access to the wound and drainage. This is often the reason for choosing this version after surgery.

The bandage is non-elastic and wrinkle-free, ready for immediate use—no measuring or cutting required. The thumb and fingers retain full range of motion. The high cotton content makes the bandage breathable and gentle on the skin; it can also be worn over light clothing. Machine washable at 30 °C on the gentle cycle.
